Eco Instruments is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young musicians to become stewards of the environment. We educate youth about the environmental impact of music.
We teach youth where their instruments come from—the woods, metals, and plastics inside them, the forests and mines they're sourced from, and the waste they create. Through workshops and hands-on projects, students learn to identify sustainable materials, repair instead of replace, and make informed choices as musicians and consumers.
We run three main programs: educational articles that teach youth about music's environmental impact and provide teaching resources; free lessons offered one-on-one and in groups; and peer mentorship that connects aspiring musicians with more experienced students.
Yes, all lessons are completely free. We offer one-on-one and group lessons to kids in elementary school, middle school, and high school, held at local libraries and online.
